Reporting Absences

Parents/Guardians now have the option to fill out an online absence excuse for students. Please click here to access the form and submit your child's absence. If filled out, there is no need to send a note in with your student. This form is sent electronically to the Dallastown Area Middle School office and serves as the record of excuse for your child's absence from school. This form must be completed by the parent or guardian.  

Reporting Appointments

In-person students: In-person students should bring a note to the main office first thing in the morning on the day of the appointment that includes: The student's full name, date, and time the student will be leaving school.

Remote students: Parent/Guardian should fill out the online absence form.

Approved excuse documentation must be provided to Mrs. Hamme when students attend an appointment for it to be accurately recorded in Skyward. This is the case for all students, even those in Wildcat Remote. Appointment documentation can be given directly to Mrs. Hamme or emailed to her at jennifer.hamme@dallastown.net

Pre-Approved Absences (previously referred to as educational trips)

The Request for Pre-Approved Absence form must be filled out and submitted prior to the trip.  Submit completed forms to the Middle School main office or email Mrs. Hamme at jennifer.hamme@dallastown.net.
