Mrs. Rebekah McCauley
Principal
Mrs.
McCauley began her career with Dallastown Area School District as a
High School English Teacher and later transitioned to Assistant
Principal at DAHS in 2020. Continuing her professional journey at
Wildcat Nation, Mrs. McCauley then joined the Dallastown Area Middle
School team as building Principal in 2023.
Mrs. McCauley’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree from
Dickinson College, a Master’s Degree from Millersville University, and a
PA Principal’s Certificate from Penn State University. Her most
memorable experience from her years studying English, teaching, and
leadership was spending a summer abroad in England to learn more about
English authors and literary history.
Mrs. McCauley is passionate about providing a rich learning environment
and is excited to lead the middle school team in offering relevant
programming and fun experiences to DAMS students.
While not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two
children. They are family game night enthusiasts and enjoy traveling to
new places together. Whether at home or at school, Mrs. McCauley is
constantly growing and learning. She looks forward to supporting all
middle school students in reaching their fullest potential each school
year!
Ms. Alissa Kaltreider
Assistant Principal
Ms. Kaltreider is
the Assistant Principal at Dallastown Area Middle School. She attended
Millersville University where she was a Resident Assistant and earned a
bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She began her teaching career
as a kindergarten teacher but quickly realized that she really wanted
to teach older students. She transferred to middle school, where she was
a 7th grade math teacher for 10 years followed by 3 years as a 5th
grade math teacher.
During her teaching career, Ms. Kaltreider attended Penn State
University where she earned a master’s degree in Teaching and Curriculum
and received her Principal certification. She later returned to Penn
State as an adjunct instructor. Ms. Kaltreider’s first administrative
position was as High School Assistant Principal at Dover Area High
School. She loved being an AP, but really missed the middle school
students, which led her to DAMS.
Ms. Kaltreider has two dogs, Winnie and Scarlett, and a small flock of
chickens. She enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, geocaching,
doing craft projects, games and puzzles (especially escape rooms),
cooking, and baking.

Mr. Scott Mahorney
Dean of Students
Mr. Mahorney,
Dean of Students at Dallastown Area Middle School attended Eastern
Kentucky University where he played football and earned his Bachelor
of Science Degree in Special Education. Mr. Mahorney did his graduate
studies at Western Maryland College, now McDaniel College, and
Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Mahorney has worked for the
Dallastown School District as a Learning Support Teacher, Strive
Teacher and Dean of Students for more than 20 years.
Outside of the school day, Mr. Mahorney likes to spend time with his
wife who is a 3rd grade teacher at Indian Rock Elementary School and his
4 children. Mr. Mahorney’s hobbies include, camping, boating, fishing,
and attending sporting events on weekends and in the summer.
