Regular Weekly Responsibilities

SRA
- During the third trimester, students will be reading one SRA card per week assigned at their reading level. Time will be given in class each week to work on this assignment. Each card includes reading skill practice in comprehension and word work based on the text.
Week 10 SRA card due 6/1

Re
ad180 Software - Students should complete 100 minutes of software per week in 20 minute chunks. Most of these minutes can be completed during the school day if time is used efficiently. Five segments need to be completed by the end of the trimester.
Segment Due Dates - 4/2, 4/17, 5/1, 5/17, 6/1
Segment 5 is due on Friday 6/1!

Independent Reading - Students should read their independent novel for at least 15-20 minutes each day. Each student is responsible to read one or two books (the number is individualized based on the student) on or above their lexile level by the end of the third trimester. After finishing each book, students will be required to complete an activity of their choice from the list provided and take an online book quiz.
Independent Novel Book Notes and Reading Counts quiz must be completed by 6/4. Requirements are unique to each student.

7th Grade students need to be prepared for their oral presentations on 6/1 explaining a job of their choice from the books they have been reading with their groups. Students are encouraged to come to my room this week during WIN and Wildcat for support in organizing and to practice their presentation.

**Students will have 20 minutes per day in class to work on one of the above assignments. If they do not have software or independent reading that day in class, it should become the priority for their homework.**
