Welcome to 8th Grade Language Arts with Mrs. Rock
I am happy to officially welcome you to Team Invictus for the 2020-2021 school year; we have many exciting days ahead of us. I look forward to getting to know you as we learn and grow together.
8th Grade Language Arts Curriculum
In Language Arts, expect to cover many aspects of reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary.
Class Materials:
All students are expected to bring the following items to class every day:
- Charged Chromebook with earbuds/headphones
- Language Arts Binder: a 1" or 1.5", 3-ring binder divided into sections labeled Reading, Writing, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Speaking & Listening
- Pencil(s) - (Pens, different colored highlighters, sticky notes, etc. are also helpful too!)
- An Awesome Reading Book: Please make sure you have not read the book before and that your parents approve of your choice. Also, choose a genre that you know you like!
I am here to help you, and I will make sure that you have everything you need to be successful this school year. I look forward to a memorable year together. Until then, enjoy the lazy days of summer!
