Prepare a 30-45 second monologue that showcases your best acting talents.  You should memorize your monologue.  Make sure you are familiar with the content so you can get your head out of the script and show some characterization, diction, and projection!

Choose 1 song from the list below that best fits your voice.  It is highly recommended that songs be memorized!  You should perform the song(s) as the character you are auditioning.  Various roles will be chosen based on these few songs.  Don't forget to get your practice CD and music at the meeting OR from Mr. Buer.  Links below are PIANO ONLY files.  These files are what you will audition with:

"Oh the Thinks You Can Think" - Cat in the Hat
"Biggest Blame Fool" - Sour Kangaroo
"Notice Me Horton" - Gertrude McFuzz
"Amayzing Mayzie" - Mayzie La Bird
"Alone in the Universe" - Horton
"It's Possible" - Jojo

Everyone will be taught a simple dance routine from the choreographer for your dance audition.  Once you learn the steps, you will perform in a small group.  Everyone must wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can dance/move sandals or flip flops.  If you want to be considered as a featured dancer, you should prepare a 30 second-1 minute combination or series of tricks that you can perform for the choreographer.
