Mrs. Denise Blackwell

Denise-Bio

Mrs. Denise Blackwell currently shares her time as an Assistant Principal between Dallastown Middle School and Loganville-Springfield Elementary.

She received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Penn State University.

After working as Dean of Students in the School District of the City of York, Mrs. Blackwell decided it was time to go back to school.  She then received her principal certification from Shippensburg University.

Mrs. Blackwell believes in the "whole child" approach.  She feels that getting to know students and their families is an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to student growth and success.

She feels very lucky to be able to work with a wide range of students from kindergarten to eighth grade.  Students want to learn and be successful and she's here to help make that happen.

Mrs. Blackwell and her husband, William have a six-year-old son named Thomas who dreams of becoming a paleontologist or a firefighter like his daddy.  Completing their family are two older boys, Ryan and Dylan.
